How many lessons will I need?

Because we are all unique in our habits, Alexander lessons are generally taught one-to-one. 

Like learning to play a musical instrument, learning the Alexander Technique is a process. 

We recommend starting with a series of 10 lessons.  This will give you a good grounding in the basic principles, enabling you to begin to shed old habits and apply the Technique for yourself whilst enjoying the benefits that brings.

Some people have deeper-seated problems and need longer before their body and mind begin to let go of old habits. Others choose to deepen their knowledge of the Technique by continuing their lessons beyond a basic course.

It is beneficial (but not essential) to have your first lessons as frequently as possible (once a week at minimum but more frequently if possible) to give your old habits less opportunity to reassert themselves between lessons.
